A native Houstonian with over 35 years of real estate experience, Sue Schmidt takes pride in providing prompt, professional service to her customers. Her passion for real estate extends to every part of her life. Whether it’s architecture, interior design, or landscaping, Sue believes every home has a natural beauty waiting to be found. She and her husband, Chris, lived in the Northwest area of Houston for many years while raising their two sons. After starting her real estate career, Sue migrated to a mortgage company for a few years to enjoy more flexibility with her kids before becoming a Houston real estate agent full-time. This extensive real estate and mortgage background offer her clients a unique and full perspective on the buying or selling of a home. There’s no doubt that Sue goes to great lengths to make each and every customer say, I’m Sold On Houston!

Why Houston, Texas?

As one of the fourth largest cities in the country, Houston is one of the best places to live, work, and play. Here are a few reasons why your next home should be in this great city.

Booming Job Market

Houston is home to major oil refineries, manufacturing plants, aerospace labs, and healthcare facilities, helping to expand its job opportunities.

No State Income Tax

Unlike other states, you don’t have to worry about a state income tax in Texas. Not only does this reduce the cost of living but housing costs, too!

Diverse Culture

Known as one of the largest international hubs, Houston’s nightlife and entertainment span a variety of cultures, traditions, and lifestyles.

Sue Schmidt is absolutely, without a doubt one of the best Realtors in the Houston Metropolitan area. Her broad knowledge from the realtor perspective as well as the mortgage side serves her extremely well when representing her clients. She truly has her clients’ wants and needs close to her heart.

Freqently Asked Questions

As a certified real estate agent, I’m committed to being your resource from beginning to end. Find answers to my most frequently asked questions.

  • What areas of Houston does Sue serve?

Sue is a native Houstonian and raised her sons in the Spring/Woodlands area. She has also worked with large builders across the Houston area and surrounding areas before settling in the inner loop area. This combined experience has allowed her to gain knowledge of Downtown Houston, Cypress, Katy, Memorial, Richmond/Rosenburg, and Sugar Land areas. With a recent purchase of a coastal home, Sue also enjoys selling in the Galveston area.

  • Should I get pre-approved by a mortgage lender?

Yes! As the real estate market continues to increase, getting pre-approved helps you know what price range to focus on and will increase your chances of getting your offer accepted. Get more information on our Loan Services page.

  • Does Sue help stage houses to sell?

Yes and no. During the selling process, she will give guidance on how to get your home “show ready”. Depending on your purchasing power and floor plan needs, she may recommend a staging company to help you receive the best offer for your home. However, Sue also has experience in residential and interior design with her builder husband’s new home projects.
